CityBeat's write-up:

(Cincinnati) Art Rock
And How is the latest musical foray
from everyone's favorite prolific
eccentric, Kendall Bruns, An active
multimedia artist in Cincinnati for
almost a decade, he joined forces
with Jane Carver a year ago to create
this quirky but effective project. Don't
let the whimsical implementation fool
you -- the song writing has real teeth.

09.07.05
The Super77 cd release show is this Saturday at
Alchemize and we're happy to be a part of it. We'll be opening the show that will aslo feature And Andy, Elliot Ruther Trio and of course... Super77. You can read an article about the show and Super77's cd in the new issue of CityBeat. Kendall also adds guest Moog to a track on the bonus cd available at the show only.

08.20.05
Last night was a full moon and also... the best.

08.09.05
The iLove 2cd / book is available for purchase from the Tokyo Rose Records website. It's a great collection of the original love songs that were performed at the iLove show in February. And How's contribution is the song, Like a Legend. Jane and Kendall can also be heard singing along on the Haywards track. The book is 88 pages of local Cincinnati music pics dating back to the 70s - cool!

08.06.05
We've got a new show coming up - Friday, Aug 19th with
Lovely Crash and The Turnbull AC's at Northside Tavern. We'll be playing first. Don't forget about the iLove cd/book release at the Southgate House tonight.

08.03.05
The Midpoint Music Festival 2005 schedule has been announced. We'll be playing at 10p.m. on Thursday, September 22, at Crush on Main with
The Green Room, My Latex Brain and Humans Bow Down.

08.02.05
Last night was fantastic - thanks to all who came! Jason Webley had everyone singing and spinning around.

And How has a song on the upcoming iLove cd on Tokyo Rose Records. The cd release is Aug 6th at the Southgate House. Our contribution is "Like a Legend", which we wrote for the iLove show back in Feb. We're not playing the show but a bunch of local luminaries will be AND they're all playing covers of other local bands. This is also in conjunction with the release of a new photo book, "where the kids are going tonight", which documents the local music scene.

We should have some new shows announced soon...

07.07.05
We added some pictures from the 80s Pop... Rocks show (thanks Sarah, Carin and Jason!) and the poster for the August 1st Northside Tavern show with Jason Webley (Seattle).

06.27.05
We apologize about the confusion regarding the show on Saturday. We found out at 5p.m. on the day of the show that there was miscommunication between the venue and Aqualung regarding local support. We were given the option of performing in an extremely limited capacity (including no purcussion of any kind allowed) and chose not to perform under those circumstances. We were told they would make it clear at the door that we were not playing. Sorry to anyone who was inconvenienced.

On the brighter side - 80s Pop... Rocks was Awesome - we perfomed "Never Tear Us Apart" by INXS. thanks to Matt Reynolds for playing saxophone! If anyone has pictures please send them our way. Next show is August 1st at Northside Tavern with Jason Webley (Seattle).

06.25.05
And How is no longer playing the Aqualung show tonight so don't go expecting to see us.

06.22.05
We are playing two HUGE shows this weekend - Friday we're one of 40 bands who will be playing at 80s Pop... Rocks II - each band does an 80s cover and the money raised goes to AVOC (AIDS Volunteers of Cincinnati). If last year was any indication it'll be packed and crazy fun. Plus, this will be the first time we've played a cover AND we'll have a special guest musician performing with us.

Saturday we're opening for Aqualung at the Mad Hatter in Covington. Aqualung is here all the way from the UK where he's been highly successful ever since his song "Strange & Beautiful (I'll Put A Spell On You)" was featured in a Volkswagon commercial. He's currently touring in support of his fist US release on Columbia Records. You might have seen him recently on Last Call with Carson Daly and The Late Late Show. Also performing will be Cary Brothers who have a song on the Garden State Soundtrack. CityBeat has a big article about the show in the issue that came out today... http://www.citybeat.com/2005-06-22/music.shtml

Check out details on the shows page. After this weekend we don't have any shows scheduled until August.

06.14.05
And How is playing the ROCK*N*FASHION SHOW this Saturday at Alchemize with an amazing lineup of bands (MOTH, Fizzgig, Cari Clara, Clabbergirl, 500 Miles To Memphis, Goose)! We're playing first so be sure to get there by 9pm.

CiN Weekly recommends this show...

06.06.05
Today at 2pm on 88.3 WAIF-FM (in the Cincinnati area) tune in to the show Beat Tree to hear some of our songs as well as songs that Kendall picked as influences. They supposedly stream their content online as well but we've yet to get it to work... http://www.waif883.org

05.28.05
We have a new batch of rats for the show tonight!

05.25.05
Yesterday was another demo day for us. Christian displayed his talents for getting it perfect on the last take... every time.

ALSO, CityBeat recommends the show we're playing this Saturday... http://www.citybeat.com/2005-05-25/soundadvice.shtml ...you have to scroll down a bit.

05.19.05
Northside Tavern was great - thanks Jeff!

05.16.05
After a busy weekend, we have finished some demos and posted them on our MySpace page.

05.03.05
Saturday was all around great - we've posted some pictures from the show. We sold a couple more of the rats - only a few left! Our next show is Wednesday, May 18th at the
Northside Tavern with Wil Cope.

04.29.05
There's an article in the new issue of CityBeat about the show at Southgate tomorrow. And here's a review of the most recent Why? cd from Pitchfork.

04.27.05
We're playing Saturday in the Southgate Ballroom with Why? and Le TechnoPUSS13s.

Why? is described as, "a folk-pop, indie-hop, sometimes-mustachioed, psych-rock quartet that operates out of the Oakland Bay Area under the bold banner of the anticon collective." They all have Cincinnati roots and have gone on to success elsewhere - let's show them some hometown hospitality.

Le TechnoPUSS13s is a 2 piece art-damaged technopop band known for their daring live performances and gross abuse of technology.

04.01.05
And How is playing at Crush next Friday, April 8th. A few things about this show...
1. David Enright will be playing a few songs with us for the last time before he moves to New York.
2. Fizzgig will be performing a semi-acoustic set!
3. Joshua Treble will DJ between sets and after. He recently moved to Chicago but is coming back this night to make you dance.

03.14.05
And How is playing a free show at the Comet tomorrow (Tue) night. Then Kendall's off to Italy for some European vacationing and when he gets back we're going to be playing a show at Crush with Fizzgig!

03.02.05
Thanks to everyone who came to the show last night. David Enright joined us for a few songs on drums - he's currently helping us record. We also had some of our new And How buttons and special hand-made Rats courtesy of artist, Corinne Dean. Next show is 3/15 at The Comet with The Black Spoons.

02.25.05
Last minute show announcement and it's a good one - we'll be playing with Ex Models (Frenchkiss, Ace Fu) and Fotos Tue, March 1st at Southgate House! It's $5, 8:30 doors, 9:00 show, 18+. Check out the poster. Don't forget tonight's show with the 50 Shoes at Inktank - we'll be playing at 7:30 sharp.

02.18.05
The iLove show last weekend was a lot of fun - it was nice to share the stage with so many of my local favorites. We've got another new show to add to the list – on March 15th we'll be playing at The Comet with a band from New york called The Black Spoons. AND check out the poster for the show at Crush 4/18 with Fizzgig.

02.11.05
Last night we practiced with David Enright and like 12 other people for his iLove song. Sounded good. I think he's going to help us do some recording which is good because we've been struggling with it a bit. Anyway, the show on Saturday should be a lot of fun - we're playing at around 11 and then we'll be singing with David (The Haywards) 2 songs later.

02.08.05
A couple of new shows have been confirmed and we're playing with some great bands...

Fri, Feb 25 at InkTank with The 50 Shoes
Fri, Apr 8 at Crush with Fizzgig (www.fizzgigonline.com)
Sat, Apr 30 at Southgate House with Why? (of cLOUDDEAD, Anticon Collective), LeTechnoPUSS13s
Sat, May 28 at The Comet with LeTechnoPUSS13s

I'll post more info about each of these shows as we get closer. The iLove show is this Saturday at Southgate House! Also, we're trying to upload a song on here now but we're encountering technical difficulties with myspace - be patient!

01.31.05
We had a lot of fun Saturday night - thanks go out to the Haywards and the Lab Partners! We have a bunch of shows on the horizon...

01.18.05
Last night we worked on a new song for the Valentine's show at Southgate. Jane had a bad cut on her thumb from washing broken dishes but with a big fat bandage we pushed forward... I think Nats is gonna make some t-shirts for us.

01.17.05
Saturday we worked on recording two demos - "Red Sky" and "Rodentia Revue". Red Sky is pretty much done but we're still playing with the mixing... WILL POST WHEN DONE - PROMISE!

01.14.05
And How will be performing at Crush on Saturday, January 29, with Lab Partners and The Haywards. Lab Partners are a Dayton band who play dreamy shoegazer pop-rock. You may have seen them play shows opening for Enon & Black Rebel Motorcycle Club at the Southgate House in the past. The Haywards includes the legendary MR DAVID ENRIGHT - not to be missed!
